Idea Builders Co. was born in Bogota Colombia as Dx-Idea Builders Ltda, the Dx standing for
the differential operator of a function in mathematics. The Idea to use the differentiation symbol
emerged as the basic idea of the Company: To be able to provide a solution for most of the
engineering fields and showing such willingness by using a math symbol which determines
the rate of change of the field and that operates over almost any field or function. The symbol
matched the ingenuity of the word game and the name of the Company was chosen. As a
further condition, it was determined that for each future project, product or division a Dx / Dy
notation would be used, being Y the name of the Entity.
Idea Builders then came to the United States to establish itself in the world market. The
company in Colombia now handles the business opportunities and marketing relations in
South America.
The first solution brought to life at the Southern California location was the recovery of a
damaged Industrial crane at a seaport in the Colombian Caribbean for a worldwide fruit
company. Idea Builders contributed with the spare parts to rebuild the system.
After that many other solutions had follow including logistic consulting for regional and
commercial airlines, material innovation for the civilian field and distribution agreements with
manufacturers for newly related products specially in Latin America.
This year from May 10-12 Idea Builders Co. will be participating at the CCMA conference to take
place in Cartagena, Colombia. This year's event is full of new business opportunities for both
vendors and aircraft operators in Latin America and the Caribbean.
